"The" can be placed above the name several ways. It can be straight slanted above the first part of the last name, kept horizontal above the first part of the name or centered above the name.  We will choose the best option for you if you don't specify as name and size of rock sometimes dictate where it needs to go to best use the available space.

Please note that if you are making the name on your rock possessive, then we will do this how you direct us to as there is a proper way to do it, but we want it done the way you'd like to have it done. Generally, simply adding an apostrophe "s" to the last name is wrong. 

The "Est. Year" can be placed wherever you'd like such as bottom center justified or bottom right justified under the last name if you are using it.  If you don't specify, we will generally make it bottom right justified below the last name.

The accuracy of your rock designs including spelling, punctuation, or any other parts of the design are the responsibility of the customer during the design process and also once they have been approved for production.  We try our best to make sure that there are no errors, but you are in a better position to catch misspelled names or how you intended to punctuate something.  There is a right and wrong way to make a last name plural or possessive if you'd like to do so.  Adding just an apostrophe s to a last name is normally the wrong way.  

Rocks shown the wrong way on our website are to showcase quality and layout examples, not to showcase errors. The actual rock will be laid out exactly like the design and will be done as requested.  If the rock must be remade due to errors, a 20% discount will be applied to original price to reorder.  There will be no other discounts.  Please verify that your designs are correct and accurate before approving your final design and making minimum/full payments.
